TROPICAL STORM GUILLERMO WEAKENS BUT MAY STILL BRING HARSH WEATHER
As of 11 a.m. today (Aug. 3), forecasters showed Tropical Storm Guillermo weakening somewhat. However, it is still expected to bring 20 to 30 MPH sustained winds along with 2 to 6 inches of rain and high surf to our islands.
Molokai Landfill Partial Closure August 4-8, 2015
The County of Maui Dept. of Environmental Management, Solid Waste Division, today announced that due to insufficient staffing, the Molokai Landfill will close at 1:00 p.m. August 4-8, 2015.
HURRICANE GUILLERMO CONTINUES TO MOVE TOWARD THE WEST-NORTHWEST
At 5 a.m. HST, Hurricane Guillermo was 845 miles east-southeast of Hilo, Hawaii moving toward the west-northwest at 13 mph. Maximum sustained winds were 105 mph Guillermo is forecast to continue moving toward the west-northwest through Monday night

The National Weather Service has ISSUED a HIGH SURF ADVISORY for EAST FACING SHORES of MOLOKAI and the ISLAND OF MAUI in effect from midnight tonight until noon Thursday.

The National Weather Service has ISSUED a FLASH FLOOD WATCH for the Island of Maui in effect today through 6:00 p.m. Thursday.
TROPICAL STORM WATCH
The National Weather Service has ISSUED a TROPICAL STORM WATCH for MAUI COUNTY in effect until further notice. A Tropical Storm Watch means that tropical storm conditions are possible within the watch area, generally within 48 hours.
