Public Access Room Workshop

Posted on December 5, 2012 at 12:11 PM by Office of Council Services

The Legislative Reference Bureau's non-partisan Public Access Room representatives are on Maui from December 3 - 7 presenting a series of workshops on our State’s legislative process.

A session specifically tailored for the County’s Legislative Branch was offered by Assistant Public Access Coordinator, Virginia Beck, with the Council Chair extending the invitation to the Mayor’s office.

“We are fortunate to have PAR staff sharing their knowledge and experience with us so that we can more effectively participate in the legislative process,” said Mayor Alan Arakawa.

PAR provides facilities, services and equipment to those wanting to be a part of the legislative process, and as well as expert staff to assist in person, by phone, or via email with issues that include “how to track measures”, “how to submit testimony”, “where to find reference materials” and more.
