Mayor's Office Food Drive

Posted on December 7, 2012 at 11:22 AM by Office of Council Services

Maui Food Bank’s mission is to help the hungry in Maui County by collecting and distributing food through community partnerships.  This holiday season the Mayor’s Office is partnering with Maui Food Bank in order to supply them with a generous amount of food, but we need your kokua!

The Maui Food Bank serves over 10,000 hungry people who cannot afford meals, and every year that number is growing.

“The holiday season is a time for sharing.  Please give all you can to those in need.” Reminded Michael Molina, Executive Assistant to the Mayor.

We are reaching out to the County of Maui employees and to you members of the community, to take some time to take a stroll to the ninth floor and donate canned goods, bags of rice, or any non-perishable food item. You’ll be making a huge difference this holiday season.

We are also sharing this excellent resource of emergency food pantries in the County - Mahalo for our wonderful community partners for ensuring that no one is hungry.

For more information in how you can help throughout the year, please contact Maui Food Bank at 243-9500, or the Mayor’s Office at 270-7855.
