Even from the beginning, it is important to think with the end in mind. How do you see yourself transitioning your successful business? Selling it? To whom and for how much? Passing it on to your kids? How can you get the equity out of your business when your child takes over? What happens in the event of death, disability or retirement? Do you have a written plan?
