Staffing Issues Disrupt Refuse Pickups in Lahaina<\b>

WAILUKU, MAUI, Hawai‘i – The County of Maui Dept. of Environmental Management, Solid Waste Division, announced that due to staffing issues, residential refuse on a collection route in Lahaina was not picked up today. All missed pickups are expected to be completed tomorrow, Friday, July 1, 2016.

Hana Landfill Partial Closures Friday and Saturday<\b>

WAILUKU, Maui, Hawai`i – The County of Maui Dept. of Environmental Management, Solid Waste Division, today announced that due to insufficient staffing, the Hana Landfill will close at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, July 1 and Saturday, July 2, 2016.

The closures are necessary for the department to ensure safe operations and to meet the minimum State Department of Health operating requirements of the County’s solid waste permit. The Solid Waste Division apologizes for the inconvenience.
