Council Members to discuss Bus Transportation Programs in Maui County

WAILUKU, HAWAII – The efficacy of Bus Transportation Programs in Maui County will be the focal point of the Maui County Council’s Housing, Human Services, and Transportation Committee meeting.

“As more of our residents and visitors rely on bus transportation, it is important for us to receive input from the community and the service providers, on the effectiveness and efficiency of our transportation programs,” Crivello said. “This will be an opportunity for us to look at ways to improve and expand our programs for the future of Maui County. I’m looking forward to a significant amount of public testimony.”

Committee Chair Crivello invited representatives from Roberts Hawaii, Maui Economic Opportunity, Inc., Department of Housing and Human Concerns, youth and senior groups, and the Commission on Persons with Disabilities to participate on a panel.

The meeting will be held on Thursday, February 14, 2013, at 9:00 a.m. in the Council Chamber on the 8th floor of the Kalana O Maui building, 200 South High Street, Wailuku, Hawaii.

The meeting is open to the public. Meeting agendas are available on the Housing, Human Services, and Transportation Committee website. To receive meeting agendas via e-mail, please complete the on-line subscription form on the County website at www.mauicounty.gov.
