Committee of the Whole
Meetings:Committee of the Whole meetings are held in the Council Chamber at 9:00 am on the Thursday prior to the first and the third Friday of each month; however, the schedule is subject to change. The Committee may also periodically schedule site inspections. Agendas, Minutes, & Other Documents:

Duties:
Committee of the Whole duties include reviewing and considering:
• Intergovernmental issues, including the Hawaii State Association of Counties.
• Legislative branch issues.
• Appointments of executive branch officials, including boards and commissions.
• Operations of the Department of the Corporation Counsel, including special counsel, indemnifications, settlements, and ethics regulations.
• Operations of the Office of the Mayor and the Department of Management, except for the Civil Defense Agency and the Office of Economic Development.
• Issues involving the responsibilities of two or more standing committees.
