Moloka'i Community Plan Update
Molokai ImageOverview
The Moloka'i Community Plan Update will revise the existing 2001 Moloka'i Community Plan and maps, adding new elements required by MCC 2.80B while integrating policies from the Countywide Policy Plan. The updated Moloka'i Community Plan will consist of a vision statement, goals, policies and actions to guide the desired direction of the island's future. Technical studies and issue papers provide data to support the plan’s policy recommendations. The final document will also include an implementation and monitoring plan.

Draft Documents
Draft documents for each stage of the community plan update process can be viewed here:

The Department of Planning's Long Range Division conducted community engagement events in 2010 and 2014 to gather broad public input from the community.  The Community Plan Advisory Committee (CPAC) will begin its review (6 months) of the first draft Community Plan Update in March 2015. This will be followed by a review (6 months) by the Moloka'i Planning Commission, and then review and final adoption (up to one year) of the Moloka'i Community Plan Update by the Maui County Council.

***The County Council has granted the CPAC a time extension until October 30, 2015 to complete their review of the draft Community Plan Update ***
