The Department of Housing and Human Concerns (DHHC) Grants Management Division (GMD) is responsible for the administration of over $9 million in grants. Grants are awarded to private, non-profit organizations to provide services and programs in the areas of social welfare, youth services, alcohol and substance abuse, homelessness, youth centers, and other public service programs.
Grants Program * New Funding FY's 2017 and 2018
The Grants Program is administered by the Grants Management Division (GMD), and provides grants to community organizations for the following categories:
Affordable Rental Housing Program
Health, Human Services and Education Program
Social Services: Food, Shelter and Safety (formerly Community Partnership Grants (CPG))
Substance Abuse Prevention and Treatment Program
Youth Centers and Program
Early Childhood Program
Animal Sheltering Program
Grant applications are currently being solicited for Fiscal Years 2017 and 2018. Funding recommendations for the Grants program are proposed for a period of two years. See Grants Program for more information.
Ongoing technical assistance and information pertaining to grants administration, community resource development, and grants writing is also available to grantees through the GMD.
