Bus Service Information

Due to Tropical Storm Iselle The County of Maui, in conjunction with Maui Economic Opportunity, Inc (MEO) and Roberts Hawaii, will also be providing complimentary transportation to the shelters in Maui County from various designated pick-up points. Transportation will be offered between 1:00PM to 6:00PM on Thursday afternoon. More information is forthcoming.

All Maui Bus services will be also be suspended on Friday morning, until the determination is made that the weather and roads are clear and safety to travel.

Maui Public Bus Transit System
The County of Maui currently funds a public bus system that provides service in and between various Central, South, West, Haiku, Kula and Upcountry Maui communities.

The routes operate seven days a week including all holidays.

Kula Villager Route #39
On Tuesday, January 1, 2013, the new Kula Villager Route #39 will begin bus service.  the Kula route will start on Pukalani Street, at the bus stop near the Hannibal Tavares Community Center entrance and will go as far as Rice Park. Please see the Kula Villager route schedule for more information.

Fees - Effective July 1, 2013
The fare is $2.00 per boarding. Daily and monthly passes are also available.

Maui Bus-Commuter Service
The Maui Bus Commuter service is designed for early morning and evening commuters. This service augments the existing Maui Bus service; it does not replace it.

This service consists of four commuter routes, all operated by Roberts Hawaii. The routes are the Haiku-Wailea Commuter, Makawao-Kapalua Commuter, Wailuku-Kapalua Commuter, And the Kihei-Kapalua Commuter.
