Program Description
The Landfill Disposal program is responsible for disposal of residential and commercial refuse at landfills located in Hana, Central Maui, Lana`i, and Moloka`i and for the co-composting project at the Central Maui Landfill.

Central Maui Landfill Facility
This efficient entrance facility makes refuse drop-off convenient for small trucks and cars. There is no charge for residential users of county landfills. This landfill includes the following services: 

• Scalehouse
• Household refuse drop off
• Household recycling drop off
• Used motor oil drop off (sign in with attendant)
• Yard trimming drop off (after entering, follow signs to EKO Compost drop-off)

Commercial Accounts
Commercial haulers and businesses hauling their own rubbish and green waste must have a commercial account. Applications for commer­cial accounts are available at the scalehouse, and at county offices on Maui, Molokai, Lanai, and in Hana.

Please Kokua
Windblown plastic and cardboard create problems at the landfill. Please tie plastic bags into one bag, and help prevent landfill litter by recycling cardboard, plastic, and other materials in county drop boxes. Yard trimmings must be taken to a compost company. We encourage the use of re-usable shopping bags. (Plastic Bag Ban)
