CDL Class A, B, or C Permits
OverviewTo apply for an A, B, or C Instruction permit, the applicant must:
Be 21 years of age or older.
- Possess a valid class 3 state of hawaii driver's license.
- Submit a completed medical clearance form. The form is available at all County of Maui Driver Licensing offices
- Pass the required vision test.
- Pass the required written knowledge test(s).
- Submit a two-inch by three-inch color, front facial photo.
- Submit a clearance from the traffic violations bureau if the applicant has any outstanding citations.
The class A, B, or C instruction permit will be issued upon payment of the appropriate permit fees.
