The Records and Identification Section:

• Develops and maintains a records system of all police reports
• Processes fingerprints
• Provides word processing
• Provides photography services
• Processes legal papers for service
• Maintains firearms registrations files
• Maintains the evidence room
• Reviews and disposes of all police reports

The Crime Laboratory and Photo Laboratory also fall under the responsibility of the section.

The Crime Laboratory is maintained by a Criminalist II. The Photo Laboratory is maintained by the Evidence Specialist, Fingerprint Identification Technician, and a Evidence and Identification Technician.
